Media Bottles

Media Bottles

Typically constructed from plastic or glass with screw-on caps, media bottles are biologically and chemically inert, allowing them to store non-hazardous chemicals or volatile organic substances for an extended period. The liner of a cap may interact with the contents of the bottle, but once carefully chosen will protect the bottle’s contents from outside contamination, as well as spillage during transportation or storage. Plastic media bottles are lightweight and impact resistant and are recommended for use when unbreakable containers are needed or for work at low temperatures. Glass bottles are intended for work with higher temperatures, while amber glass is suitable for working with light-sensitive materials.
