Description
CHO-S-SFM II, is a complete, serum-free, low-protein (less than 100μ/mL) medium optimized for the growth and maintenance of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells in suspension culture for production of recombinant proteins. It is supplemented with hypoxanthine and thymidine (the non-supplemented equivalent is also available). This ready-to-use medium is suitable for the suspension culturing of CHO and other cells in batch, continuous, and perfusion culture systems. A CHO-S-SFM II medium Drug Master File (DMF) has been submitted to the FDA. Permission to cross-reference the Master File may be obtained by contacting Technical Services or your local Sales Representative.This medium contains components of animal origin. If growth factors or hydrolysates, found in competitor media, are to be avoided, consider CD CHO, CD OptiCHO™ or CD FortiCHO™ media.
