Invitrogen™ EVOS™ Calibration Slide
The EVOS Calibration Slide is used to calibrate three parameters of the system: field of view, parfocality, and parcentration.
Brand: Invitrogen™ AMEP4720
Description
The EVOS Calibration Slide is used to calibrate three parameters of the EVOS imaging system: field of view, parfocality, and parcentration. Calibrating the parfocality ensures that the sample stays in focus when the objective is changed, and calibrating the parcentration ensures that an object in the center of the field of view will stay in the center of the field no matter which objective is being used.
The calibration slide offers you these advantages:
• Easy, accurate, and precise calibration of your microscope
• Five X-Y squares divided by grids of: 1.00, 0.200, 0.100, 0.050, and 0.025 mm
• Seven different calibration circles: 4.000, 2.000, 1.000, 0.400, 0.200, 0.100, and 0.050 mm
• Precision-ground, optical-quality glass
• Protective storage case
The calibration procedure involves two distinct steps. First, the calibration crosshair on the screen is matched to the crosshairs on the calibration slide. Then, the diameters of the reference circles on the calibration slide are measured. Each step is performed using both the monochrome and the color camera. The total time required to calibrate an objective is about five minutes. More information can be found in the system’s manual. Note that the factory-installed objectives supplied with EVOS imaging systems have been pre-calibrated. There is no need to calibrate them again unless they are removed and need to be re-installed.
