Description

Concentrate DNA samples more easily and quickly, compared to microdialysis filtrations units. Macherey-Nagel™ NucleoSpin™ gDNA Clean-up Kit cleans and concentrates large-sized genomic DNA from pre-purified DNA from organic extraction and from enzymatic extractions.

The NucleoSpin™ gDNA Clean-up kit is designed for the rapid purification of previously isolated small and especially high molecular weight genomic DNA. It is used to clean-up and concentrate genomic DNA after crude extraction methods, for example using Trizol, or after enzymatic, or chemical reactions. The time-saving procedures enables a preparation time of just 15 minutes for 10 preps.

  • No need for organic denaturants or chloroform extractions
  • Any impurities like phenol, enzymes, salts, dyes, labels, nucleotides, small oligonucleotides, and even up to 5% detergents (e.g., SDS, Triton, Tween, Lauroylsarcosin) are removed completely
  • Binding Buffer DB and Wash Buffer DW are developed to allow a very gentle binding and washing
  • High recovery rates up to 90% for high molecular weight DNA (up to 50 kbp) as well as for small DNA fragments down to 100 bp
  • The eluted DNA is ready to use for downstream applications such as PCR, endonuclease restriction, Southern Blotting and labeling
