These imaging plates are optically transparent, extra-low, ultra-flat, 384-well plates that provide optimal performance for microscopy and plate-reader-based assays.
Brand: Thermo Scientific™ A58941
Description
These imaging plates are optically transparent, extra-low, ultra-flat, 384-well plates that provide optimal performance for microscopy and plate-reader-based assays. The black-walled clear-bottom 384-well imaging plates come tissue-culture-treated, pre-sterilized, and labeled with unique barcodes. They are ideal for fluorescence high-content screening and imaging assays on our CellInsight High-Content Screening instruments, stand-alone microscopes such as the EVOS M7000/5000, and multimodal plate readers such as the Varioskan LUX microplate reader.
Features of these Imaging Plates include:
- Quality results—no more out-of-focus cells. Optical-quality cyclo-olefin polymer (COP) provides best-in-class flatness (100 μm from edge to edge), transmittance, and glass-matching refractive index (1.34).
- Extra-low base—skirt height of 0.21 mm allows for all wells and fields of view to ne read with immersion and high NA lenses
- Faster read times—reduce autofocus search times due to the ultra-flat plate bottom. Improved transmittance of COP allows for shorter exposure times, which can reduce imaging times and minimize light exposure to the sample
- Results you can trust—COP is ideal for fluorescence imaging assays since it is optically transparent in a broad wavelength range, along with being 100% biocompatible, chemically inert, and mechanically stable
- Add and go—plates come tissue-culture treated and pre-sterilized, ready for immediate cell plating. Custom coatings available upon request
- Screening ready—plates come with unique barcodes, ready for your high content screening assays. Custom barcodes available upon request
When running high-content screening and imaging assays, high image quality is essential for good results. Several factors can impair image quality, such as using thick, uneven plates, which can lead to focusing differences between wells and image quality issues across a plate. The optical properties of these imaging plates produce superior image quality and resolution from each well when used with fluorescence or luminescence readers. The flatness of the plate bottom also yields excellent performance in laser-based autofocus systems. Using these Optical-Quality Imaging Plates helps get the most from automated imaging systems and ensure that critical assays and samples are not compromised due to inferior plates.
