Thermo Scientific™ Pierce Alkaline Phosphatase is purified calf-intestinal alkaline phosphatase (AP or alk-phos) enzyme for use in activity assays and conjugation to antibodies for ELISA and immunohistochemistry applications.

Highlights:

  • Purified form - ready to conjugate without prior dialysis
  • Activity is not affected by exposure to antibacterial agents, such as sodium azide or thimerosal
  • Specific activity > 2,000 units/mg
  • One unit is defined as the amount that will hydrolyze 1.0 mol of p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at 37° C in 1.0M diethanolamine, 0.5mM MgCl2, pH 7.8
