Description
It is widely used in fireworks for the source of red color. It is also used in dental and biological research. It is the precursor material to other compounds of strontium. It is used to prepare yellow strontium chromate, a corrosion inhibitor for aluminum. It is also employed in glass-making, sea water aquaria, and metallurgy.
