Description
Super Heavy TMTpro Label Reagent labels synthetic peptides to be specifically used alongside TMTpro multiplex-labeled samples for targeted multiplexed quantitation by mass spectrometry analysis.
Super Heavy TMTpro Label Reagent can:
• Provide two-dimensional multiplexing—super heavy-labeled TMTpro peptides used alongside TMTpro-labeled samples allows multiplexed targeted quantitation with mass spectrometry analysis
• Improve quantitative accuracy—label reduces co-isolation and interference to enable robust quantitation
• Reduces acquisition complexity—heavy-labeled peptide used as the trigger for peptide selection
When used in combination with TMTpro labeled samples, the mass offset from the super heavy-labeled synthetic peptide serves as a trigger for the selection of the targeted peptide in the multiplexed sample. This triggered selection reduces interference/co-isolation to enable more robust quantitation using mass spectrometry analysis. This new method combines the power of multiplexing from TMTpro reagents with targeted quantitation methods and is referred to as the TOMAHAQ (Triggered by Offset, Multiplexed, Accurate mass, High resolution, and Absolute Quantitation) method. An additional advantage of the TOMAHAQ method for targeted multiplexed quantitation is less dependence on the chromatography conditions for successful quantitation of peptides.
